    Hashem means God in Hebrew. Why would you choose this name? Unfortunately, we can’t trust those on the internet, as we can never know their true motives. I don’t know what you’re true motives are, and I’ll reserve judgement, but I have to admit, I find it rather skeptical that someone posting on an “anti-zionist” board, would use the alias of the Hebrew word for God.

    my name is Arabic not Hebrew. it is derived from the verb “Yohashem” which means “to break”. it was first used as a nickname for prophet Mohamed’s great grandfather (Mohamed son of Abdullah son of Abdul Muttalib son of Hashem). he was a great leader of his people famous for his generosity espevcially feeing all poor people who visited the whole city of Mecca, the name described his paticipation in preparing food for the poor by him self although being a nobleman. “breaking” bread into gravy (traditional dish) made the nickname appear. Mohamed along with his clan always referred to themselves as “sons of Hashem” to commemorate him.

    since then the name appeared especially among devoted Muslims. I’ve been privileged to be named Hashem.

    well obviously there are many hebrew names being used in the west as well. names like john, joseph, jacob, mary, thomas, etc. are all hebrew names. hebrew names are more prevalent in the middle east. and thats probably where hashem resides. so its no surprise.
