Anti-Zionist harvest: Antwerp edition

https://qz.com/india/459422/how-indian-families-took-over-the-antwerp-diamond-trade-from-orthodox-jews/

Antwerp’s diamond business had long been controlled by its orthodox, largely Hasidic Jewish community.

In the popular European imagination, diamonds remain inextricably linked with the Jews. When I’d told a group of Julio’s colleagues in Brussels my plans for a story on the Indian community’s role in the trade, they’d expressed surprise. Diamonds? Wasn’t that a Jewish fiefdom?

Once upon a time, it had been. But today it is the Mehtas and the Shahs rather than the Epsteins and Finkelszteins who rule Hoveniersstraat. Indians have come to control almost three-quarters of Antwerp’s diamond industry, a figure that had been associated with the Jews only a few decades ago.

The first wave of Indians began to wash up on Antwerp’s shores in the 1960s. They started at the bottom of the business with low quality roughs, which offered very small margins of profit, and were of little interest to the established Jewish diamantaire houses. These stones were sent to family members back in India for cutting and polishing, where labour costs were a fraction that of Antwerp’s.

The cost of polishing and cutting diamonds in factories in Surat, the main diamond-processing centre in India, is as little as a tenth of the equivalent price in Europe. The inexorable logic of costs and demographics has meant that over the years the cutting and polishing business has almost disappeared into oblivion in European cities like Antwerp and relocated to Asia, in particular India.

Antwerp’s Indian diamantaires are almost without exception Jains

“The Jews just couldn’t withstand our competitiveness,“ he said with a matter-of-fact shrug of the shoulders. “We are married to our businesses. We will work at night. We will work on the weekends. We will do whatever it takes to get a client. And we are willing to work this hard even for small margins.”

“You can go to a cocktail party if it’s necessary for business. But that doesn’t mean you should drink yourself. Never be ashamed of who you are.” Jains are forbidden from alcohol by religious strictures.

Well done Jains! Don’t stop until the Jews are completely run out!

This case concretely illustrates my longstanding economic thesis (which annoys our enemies to no end precisely because they cannot refute it) that whereas globalization without cosmopolitanism doubtless strengthens Jewish power, cosmopolitanism can more than offset globalization to ultimately weaken Jewish power. Imagine if Belgium had prohibited immigration. Labour costs in India would still be lower, so the Jewish diamond traders in Antwerp would sooner or later have been the ones outsourcing diamond processing to labourers in Gujarat, and hence making greater profits by saving money on labour. In contrast, with immigration permitted, it is the Gujarati themselves who get to profit from their own labour by gaining the mobility required to participate in the buying and selling components of the business as well as the processing component, as they perfectly deserve to.

“For us, sending rough diamonds to India for processing isn’t outsourcing as much as “homesourcing,” Santosh Kedia, owner of the jewelry company Indigems, quipped over lunch.

The optimal scenario for Jewish profiteering would be a world of closed borders for people but open borders for products, which allows themselves to function as trading intermediaries while exploiting local labour to the maximum possible extent. This was almost what they had back in the colonial era when the colonized populations could not emigrate freely, but Jews could take the colonized populations’ labour products (in exchange for a pittance at best) and trade across entire colonial empires or even between different colonial empires. But open the borders for people too, and Jews will be replaced by those whom they exploited.

    The exact opposite of Autarky, which advocates closed borders for products, yet people can move freely across all borders.

One attraction which will certainly appeal to the young is that by emigrating in this fashion they will find opportunities for promotion infinitely more rapid than those of their less enterprising comrades who remain quietly at home, content to follow the beaten track.” – Adolf Hitler

    “Based” is a rightist compliment. As a True Leftist, please do not adopt it as a compliment for other leftists, or else we risk subconsciously absorbing rightist values as our own at worst, or causing confusion at best.

    For example, rightists call a “black” person who supports “white” rule a “based n_____”, or a woman who supports patriarchy a “based woman”, or a “homosexual” person who believes “homosexuality” to be a mental illness a “based fag”, and so on. (Likewise, Jews call a non-Jew who supports Jewish domination a “Shabbos Goy”.) “Based” essentially describes someone who consciously and candidly accepts their inferior place within the Western hierarchy (the opposite of “uppity”). You could even think of “based” as a shortened version of “self-abasing”. As such, from a leftist perspective, there is nothing admirable about being “based”.

    Here we have “non-white” Jains migrating to Belgium and challenging Jewish economic hegemony, which is in no way “based” (ie. defeatist) behaviour even by the rightist definition. These are Jains doing kampf! (Or if you want to use currently fashionable words, “Woke” (a leftist compliment) would be acceptable.)

    @AS

    Agreed.

  6. RP says:

    @AS

    Thank you for correcting me. I have been studying compliments (as well as insults) from both False Leftists and Rightists.

  7. RP says:

    @AS
    I have noticed that False Leftists adopt rightist insults such as “childish” and “virgin”.

    A quick background check on these “leftists” shows that they are merely adopting leftist beliefs out of self interest, be it for social convenience or status, hence why many (former) False Leftists are defecting to the right.

    Such individuals often express regret for being “immature” for holding racist views when they were younger (in the case of False Leftists). However, the False Leftist turned rightist also expresses similar feelings but for things such as having had “non-White” sexual partners. It is clear upon observation that these types of individuals are unpredictable at best, and at worst are actually inherently racist.

    As such, are we to give those individuals that remain “leftist” the benefit of the doubt, given their potential risk? I understand that you have elaborated that these types of people are “raceless”, but lest we risk letting these individuals enter the gene pool, it’s back to square one for us. I feel that is now more than ever important to make the distinction between False Left and True Left. Whereas the former can be disregarded for political (pragmatic) purposes, the True Left is the only solution for reproductive (idealistic) purposes.

    I just thought I needed to make this distinction because I was recently having flashbacks of my own childhood, and realized how I have always been an anti-tribalist at heart, in stark contrast to those who supposedly became anti tribalists after “maturing”.

    As a side note, I plan on starting a thread on the forum on the topic of insults/compliments.

    ““immature” for holding racist views when they were younger”

    This is an instant red flag. If they were already racist when they were young (but have since merely been socially conditioned not to be racist), imagine how racist they will become at their current age after they throw off the social conditioning (which will be replaced by resentment for having been conditioned by Counterculture society) and re-defect to the right!

    “As such, are we to give those individuals that remain “leftist” the benefit of the doubt, given their potential risk? I understand that you have elaborated that these types of people are “raceless”, but lest we risk letting these individuals enter the gene pool, it’s back to square one for us.”

    The best scenario would be for such individuals to be used as cannon fodder for a good cause (e.g. #FightICEwithfire).

    “I was recently having flashbacks of my own childhood, and realized how I have always been an anti-tribalist at heart, in stark contrast to those who supposedly became anti tribalists after “maturing”.”

    This is why you should be taking on more of a leadership role in our movement. How is your NATO-NAM merger article coming along? Your blog hasn’t been updated since January:

    What’s the best way to get Native Americans to recognize that if stories such as “Dances With Wolves” and “Last of the Mohicans” are true, then their ancestors were not the tribalists westerners have made them believe that they were?

    “The continuing political chaos at Westminster over Brexit and related matters is placing more and more pressure on the United Kingdom’s periphery. There is already a growing chorus of support for a second Scottish independence referendum.”

    Now new opinion polling suggests that support for Welsh independence is also growing. Barring the latest polling, three major opinion polls were conducted on Welsh voters’ attitudes to independence staring in 2014 and ending in 2018.

    In 2014 support for independence stood at a meager 14 per cent whereas by 2018 that support had shot up to 23 per cent. And now the very latest polling by YouGov shows that 14 per cent of respondents are “strongly” supportive of independence. This is an increase of 4 percentage points from a similar poll in 2017.

    Here are some highlights from Chief Seattle’s letter to the US Federal Gov’t after the latter asked to buy some of the land that his people lived on.

    “If we do not own the freshness of the air and the sparkle of the water, how can you buy them?”

    “We know the sap which courses through the trees as we know the blood that courses through out veins. We are part of the Earth and it is part of us.”

    “The shining water that moves in the streams and rivers is not just water, but the blood of our ancestors.”

    “The rivers are our brothers. They quench our thirst. They carry our canoes and feed our children. So you must give to the rivers the kindness you would give any brother.”

    “This we know: the Earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the Earth.”

    “No man, be he Red Man or White Man, can be apart. We are brothers after all.”

    He was writing in English, so some of the formulations have a ring of traditionalism, e.g. “blood of our ancestors” & “brothers” though you can see his greater point. The last sentence is particularly interesting, no Jew would ever say or think that about any non-Jew.

    There are people who suggest London’s independence as a city-state… Nowadays I see Palestinian manifestoes all around the city and there’s a non-ethnic Londoner identity developing

  16. Mza9 says:

    @Miecz:

    Thank you pointers. I remember coming across some of Chief Seattle’s quotes not to long ago, and the name stuck in my head but I forgot to go back and read everything had to say.

    @LOZ and SSGFD:

    That would be cool! If that were to happen I wonder if many English will wake-up one day and wonder exactly why the UK fought WWI and WWII at all, considering the United Kingdom only last another century or so after the end of WWII…

    I think quite a few wonder that already….

    Good to hear about the Palestinian manifestos!

  17. William Eastfield says:

    “Palestinian manifestos” of what, though?

  18. LuciferOverZion says:

    Marches, speeches etc… You’ll see many in East London

    However any country without its most left-leaning parts would swing even further to the right…
    Scotland can count on ideals based on anti-colonialist struggle and brotherhood with the oppressed, while English separatism from the UK is based on ethno-separatism.
    Celtic nations will then claim the Arthurian cycle’s myths for themselves
    Best-case scenario for me is a Great Britain under Corbyn, with Ulster back to Ireland

  19. SS-Oberst-Gruppenführer Daniel says:

    @LOZ

    You from East London?

  20. LuciferOverZion says:

    Yes, I am

  22. @Mza9

    I did further research into Chief Seattle’s words and, unfortunately, the current popular notion of them is a bit rosier than they actually were. The overall message is similar, though they’re not so idealistic.

    Here is the most accurate version: http://www.synaptic.bc.ca/ejournal/smith.htm

    Published in 1887 from recollection and notes by an attendee of the initial oration.
